Sequoia Community Development (SCD), an affiliate company of Sequoia Equities, Inc., partners with local municipalities, non-profits and other businesses to revitalize and stabilize local housing markets impacted by the foreclosure crisis. Sequoia believes that the fastest way out of our nation’s foreclosure problem must start with a return to owner occupied neighborhoods at affordable pricing. SCD is focused on acquiring foreclosed properties and returning homeowners to neighborhoods.

Along with hiring local contractors, SCD partners with local non-profits and community programs to identify and qualify resident homeowners to purchase our homes. The prequalification process, including home buyer education and counseling, ensures that our homes are sold to owners rather than investors and limits the potential for future foreclosures.
